The Raj & Rajeshwari Foundation is an independent international medical humanitarian organization that delivers aid to people affected by exclusion from health care, by reason of poverty and lack of infrastructure in an around Dist. Gonda in Uttar Pradesh, India.
Founded by Dr. Rajesh K. Singh, M.D., FACS, FRCS and his wife of 56 years Rajeshwari devi Singh. The foundation is ably supported by Dr. Singh's sons - Harendra Singh, Dr. Jitendra Singh and his son in law - Dr. J.P. Singh.
Dr. Rajesh Singh is a retired Thoracic & Cardio Vascular Surgeon. After retirement in 2001 he decided to devote his life to improve the quality of life of those in dire straits in an around the village of his birth - PO Ramapur, Bhagahi - Pahli in Uttar Pradesh, India. Uttar Pradesh is located in North Eastern India. RRF provides health care, rehabilitation and runs a 16 bed hospital, performs surgery, carries out vaccination campaigns, operates feeding centers for malnourished people and offers mental health care.
RRF was founded in 2000 as a nongovernmental organization to both provide medical assistance and bear witness publicly to the plight of the people it assists. A private nonprofit association, RRF is an organization seeking to uplift the lives of the poor and destitute in rural India, where the benefits of globalization and modernization have not yet arrived.
